Three small errors found in the French review: getting_started (debugger buttons), python_oop (spend, JAVA) #642

Open

Description

@mmcky

Found while reviewing the French edition. Each is a small fix to the English, so that every edition gets it.

  1. lectures/getting_started.md, line 394: "You can then step through the code line by line using the buttons on the "Next" button on the CALLSTACK toolbar (located in the right hand window)." The phrase repeats itself. Suggested: "You can then step through the code line by line using the "Next" button on the CALLSTACK toolbar (located in the right-hand window)." Raised on Update getting_started.md lecture-python-programming.fr#85.
  2. lectures/python_oop.md, line 205: "spend(x) either decreases wealth by x or returns an error if insufficient funds exist". Both versions of spend in the lecture print a message instead, so suggested: "…or prints a message if insufficient funds exist". The class version (line 226) also misspells it: "Insufficent funds".
  3. lectures/python_oop.md, line 68: "JAVA and Ruby are relatively pure OOP." should read "Java".

    Hi! I'd like to work on this issue as my first contribution to the repository. I can fix the typos and wording in getting_started.md and python_oop.md. Please let me know if I can proceed. Thank you!

    Hi @nandinirao67, thank you, and sorry for the slow reply. Yes, please go ahead: I've assigned the issue to you.

    These lectures are translated into several languages, so a fix to the English reaches every edition. Here are the changes, all in lectures/ (line numbers as on main today):

    1. getting_started.md, line 394: "using the buttons on the "Next" button" becomes "using the "Next" button", and "right hand window" becomes "right-hand window".
    2. python_oop.md, line 205: "or returns an error if insufficient funds exist" becomes "or prints a message if insufficient funds exist", since both versions of spend print a message rather than raise an error.
    3. python_oop.md, line 68: "JAVA" becomes "Java".
    4. python_oop.md, line 478: put quad in code formatting, so it reads "a function from SciPy called quad for numerical integration". This one came up in the French review too (Update python_oop.md lecture-python-programming.fr#83), so I've added it here.

    Please leave out the "Insufficent funds" typo at line 226: two open pull requests, #635 and #637, already fix it, and a third would conflict with them.

    One pull request with all four is ideal. If its description says Closes #642, the issue will close when it merges.
