Migration prompts currently omit the guide URL even though the old guide helper is still exported. Wire that existing helper into the active deterministic prompt generator for Next.js, Remix and React Router migrations, and use the working Router /docs/how-to/ URL.

AI review notes:
Continued this branch against current main. The old model-backed generator has been removed, so its instruction is carried into the current final prompt instead of restoring the old generator. The helper now lives with prompt generation, and the component module re-exports it for existing callers.
Before the change, actual generated Next.js and Remix prompts omitted the guide. Added regression coverage for Next.js, Remix, React Router and a non-migration request. Both destination URLs returned HTTP 200.
Full pnpm test and the normal commit hook passed. No claim of running an end-to-end application migration.

Summary by CodeRabbit

  • New Features

    • Migration guidance now recognizes Next.js, Remix, and React Router requests.
    • Relevant prompts include links to the corresponding migration guides and migration-specific usage instructions.
    • Non-migration prompts continue to work without migration references.
  • Tests

    • Added coverage for supported migration scenarios, multiline requests, framework detection, and standard dashboard requests.

When the user brief indicates a Next.js or Remix/React Router migration,
append an instruction telling the downstream agent to fetch the relevant
tanstack.com migration guide and follow it. Keeps the guide out of the
analyze stage and out of the UI; only affects the final generation prompt.

📝 Walkthrough

Migration detection and guide URL resolution move to a shared utility. Matching migration prompts include instructions to fetch and follow the relevant guide. Tests cover supported and unsupported migration inputs.

Fix the Remix migration guide URL path.

The URL in src/components/application-builder/shared.ts (line 62) uses a stale path (/docs/guide/how-to/...). The current TanStack Router migration doc path is under /docs/how-to/.... The current URL returns HTTP 500 error, while the correct path returns HTTP 200. This broken URL is used to generate instructions for agents in src/utils/application-starter.server.ts, directing them to an invalid page.

- Line 1302: Update the migration-reference instruction near the

Start scaffold and Remix-specific migration guidance authoritative, while

Next.js mentions, such as “Next.js” or “Next”, rather than any occurrence of
“next” after migration wording; preserve matching for explicit Next.js migration

Keep migration-guide instructions out of the UI prompt preview.

The analyze-stage response excludes prompt, so it does not expose the guide instruction. However, ApplicationStarterWorkspace passes latestStarterResult.prompt through displayedSummary to ApplicationStarterSummaryPanel, which renders it in GeneratedPromptPreviewCard. Keep the guide-enriched prompt on the final generation path only.

Good catches. The guide matching and conflicting setup instructions are corrected. The generated prompt preview stays consistent with what gets copied.

AI review notes:
Independently reproduced “Migrate my Remix app next week” selecting the Next.js guide and a multiline Next.js brief selecting no guide. The matching now requires explicit framework wording and accepts line breaks, with regression coverage for both cases.
The linked React Router guide describes configuring an existing project. The generated instruction now uses it for applicable migration concepts while keeping the fresh TanStack scaffold and migration strategy authoritative.
Analysis returns no prompt. The workspace preview receives the resolved generated prompt through onResolvedResult; removing its guide text would make the preview differ from the generated output. No preview change was made.
Full pnpm test passed, including type checks, lint, unit tests, chat tests and desktop tests. This is local verification, not a completed application migration or production verification.
