Anthony Brignano

Senior Staff Software Engineer · Enterprise Platform Engineering @ The Hartford

I build the internal developer platform behind The Hartford's engineering org — CI/CD, tooling, and the paved roads that make the right way the easy way. 4,000+ engineers on it today, heading toward all 8,000. Lately I'm making it AI-native.

🔨 What I'm building

⚡  Onboarding that takes hours, not weeks — new machine to first commit, down from a 40+ day baseline
📦  One build command, any stack — identical build on your laptop, in CI, or on a remote agent
🤖  Agent-operable CI/CD — MCP servers that let AI agents safely query and operate enterprise delivery systems
⚙️  Enterprise CI/CD at scale — 60,000+ pipelines supported across 70,000+ runs a week
📊  DevOps intelligence — CLI and IDE telemetry into AWS + Snowflake, to find where engineers actually lose time

🧰 Stack

TypeScript React Next.js Node.js Java Python
AWS Google Cloud Terraform Docker GitHub Actions Snowflake

🚀 In the open

🧠  ai-tools — one source of truth for AI-agent context, commands, and MCP servers, symlinked onto every machine I use
🌐  brignano.io — site and resume. Next.js 16, React 19, static export on Vercel
💳  npx brignano — my card, in your terminal

🎤 Off the clock

Running The Hartford's enterprise hackathons, coaching associates through the Tech & Operations Leadership Development Program, and serving on the CS Industry Advisory Board at Central Connecticut State University.
