Friction: epicshop workflow updates overwrite workshop-specific Test CI #48
Description
What happened
After #45 fixed solution Test CI (Node 22, setup:custom, completed Vitest-only filter), later chore: update epicshop commits replaced validate.yml with a generic template that used Node 26 and node ./epicshop/test.js ..s. That made solution Test red again (Playwright suites collected by vitest, AbortSignal/MSW failures).
What you wanted
Workshop-specific Test job settings survive epicshop updates, or the generic template documents/restores the known-good pattern for this workshop.
How to reproduce
Compare validate.yml Test job after #45 (94f917a) with the same file after chore: update epicshop on main (e.g. 29df1cb / 93fe5cc).
Cost
Every fork or same-repo PR that needs green Test has to rediscover and restore the #45 pattern; agents burn a full CI cycle on false reds.
Preliminary investigation
Restored the #45 Test job shape in #47. Setup fork checkout and hung Playwright install were separate CI issues fixed in the same PR.
