Bug: The printer starts placing blocks outside the schematic when in water (It might not be just in water, I haven't tested it) when its working with another client mio #340

Open

Description

@rimbi1020

What happened?

I suspect that the Mio rotations are interfering with the Lambda rotations, causing it to place blocks in such a strange way. It would be great if you could fix this so that both clients can be used simultaneously, if possible

What should have happened?

    I tested it, and even without Mio, it still places blocks incorrectly outside the schematic in water

    is there a way to reliably recreate the issue? If not can you send a video?

    yeah, I can reproduce this bug quite easily. I'm not 100% sure yet what's causing it, but once I find the problem, I'll submit a PR

    I think this is by design, there's 2 settings "Avoid Fluids" and "Fill Fluids".

    • Avoid Fluids won't break a block if fluid would spill into the gap
    • Fill Fluids places disposable blocks in fluid next to the block you want to break, so it can break it

    If you disable "Avoid Fluids" in Printer's Automation Config (Break tab), it should work better for you...

    I think a simple fix would be adding an option for "Expand Safety Measures" in the build config, allowing fluid filling outside the given area to aid construction within. I can look into that after the ender chest farming branch
