A tab nobody named shows what runs in it, and a space holds nine tabs.

  • The tab bar shows an unnamed tab's number and what runs in its focused pane: the agent's topic from its terminal title (its mark, controls, direction marks and a trailing counter off, and not its own idle name), else the program and its git branch: "1 fix tab names", "2 zsh · main". A remote shell gets no branch.
  • The work is cut to 20 cells, then 12, then 6, then left out, before a plugin's badges go and before any tab is dropped; the clock keeps its time.
  • New tab no longer names a tab after its folder. A name given with Rename tab stays, and routes, menus and Search still name a tab by its number or that name.
  • A space holds at most 9 tabs, as many as the number keys reach: New tab is greyed, + is greyed and answers no click, and a key or command that would add a tenth says why.

The tab bar shows an unnamed tab's number and what runs in its focused pane: the agent's topic from
its terminal title (its mark, controls, direction marks and a trailing counter off, and not its own
idle name), else the program and its git branch: "1 fix tab names", "2 zsh · main". A remote shell
gets no branch. The work is cut to 20 cells, then 12, then 6, then left out, before a plugin's badges
go and before any tab is dropped; the clock keeps its time. New tab no longer names a tab after its

A space holds at most 9 tabs, as many as the number keys reach: New tab is greyed, + is greyed and
answers no click, and a key or command that would add a tenth says why.

…start after it

At nine tabs the + was drawn greyed but not returned, so what follows it on the top row was placed
from the last tab and drawn over the +.
