The growing good of the world is partly dependent on unhistoric acts.
— George Eliot, Middlemarch (1872)
I'm Allie, a Welsh software dev who wants to help other people out and make the internet a tiny bit kinder. I'm especially interested in UI/UX, accessibility, dev tools, and fp. Feel free to reach out if you'd like to yap to me about any of those things!
I also really love seals, I'm a huge reader, and I do some creative writing from time to time.

recite is a small language and toolchain for writing dialogue and branching narratives in games. It's the tool I've always wished I had when working on dialogue-heavy games. (Pre-release.)
-
leitmotif is a Rust library for checking the facts and intersecting storylines behind an interactive narrative. I'm building it alongside Recite for a game about a town full of people with their own lives and versions of events. (Early prototype.)
-
kumite is a set of modular primitives for building 2D/2.5D fighting games in Bevy, since the bare minimum technical barrier for indie fighting game devs is incredibly high and most tools are hundreds of dollars. Will be open sourcing it at some point when it's a little more put together and battle-tested.
Something gets added here whenever I need/want something super specific for a project I'm working on and nothing out there quite fits; most of the below were made for the control plane of kumite.
-
gatekeep is a policy-based AuthZ library for rust, with granular permit traces for thorough audit logs.
-
keepsake is a tiny Rust library of helpers and patterns that handle the boilerplate of defining and managing policy-held relations between entities—such as mutes, restrictions, and subscriptions.
-
dovecote is a transactional outbox for Rust, built alongside Gatekeep and Keepsake for storing audit events and tracking their delivery in a CloudEvents-shaped format.
