fix: [docs, progress] sync props tables with components - #971
Fix the props tables to match the components. Add missing props (for example the Select root, DataView field and Theme props), remove props that do not exist or are deprecated, and correct required flags, defaults, types and callback arguments.
Document Drawer.Trigger, Drawer.Close, Popover.Close, CodeBlock.LanguageSelectContent and CodeBlock.LanguageSelectItem. A part that takes another component's props says "Inherits all X props" and names the props it leaves out.
Make Progress value optional, which matches its default of 0.
Mark classNames on Indicator and DataView.Filters and CodeBlock maxHeight as @deprecated, and correct the JSDoc of Drawer side.
The tables stay hand-written in this PR. The PRs stacked on it generate them from the component types, a few pages at a time.
It looks like this branch is under active development. To avoid overwhelming you with review comments due to an influx of new commits, CodeRabbit has automatically paused this review. You can configure this behavior by changing the reviews.auto_review.auto_pause_after_reviewed_commits setting.

Walkthrough
The pull request updates component prop declarations, API references, and examples across the documentation. It adds scoped changelog generation and rendering for component and data-view pages. It adds a TypeScript-based documentation prop checker with tests, package scripts, CI coverage, and contributor guidance. It also updates Progress typing and test coverage, adds deprecation annotations, and changes the documentation build preflight.

Explanation
The changed files support issue #879. The checker, CI job, tests, prop-table corrections, inheritance notes, and related component type corrections address props-table drift. The changelog parser, renderer, page integration, and tag handling address per-component changelogs. The remaining documentation and comment changes correct the APIs that the checker and component docs expose. No demonstrated unrelated product behavior change is present.

Explanation
Issue #879 has three coding objectives. The PR adds the docs-props checker, CI coverage, and matching prop-table corrections for the drift objective. The PR adds generated per-component changelog content for the changelog objective. The reviewed changes do not add Accessibility sections for Combobox, Menu, ContextMenu, or DataView. The current summary shows only an inherited-props note for Combobox and no accessibility changes for the four required pages.
Resolution
Add Accessibility sections to the Combobox, Menu, ContextMenu, and DataView documentation pages. Cover the relevant keyboard and assistive-technology behavior for each component. Then rerun the docs tests and docs-props check.

Do not stay on 4.x. 4.0.12 is the last version for fumadocs-core 16.0.7, and its build fails on aria-label props.
tsconfig.json: set "@/.source": ["./.source/server.ts"]. fumadocs-mdx 15 does not write .source/index.ts.
source.config.ts: remove basePath from createGenerator().
On main with these changes, next build passes and tsc shows no new errors.
Change each props.ts to a re-export. If a name is wrong, the docs build fails.
exporttype{ButtonProps}from'@raystack/apsara';
3. Transform and filter (source.config.ts)
5.6.0 removes @internal props before the transform runs, and the transform cannot remove a prop. Mark the props in the transform, and filter them in a wrapper. Test this sketch in the docs build.
Use [remarkAutoTypeTable, { generator, options: { transform } }] in source.config.ts and in lib/ai.ts.
Also add these rules to the transform:
The default short type is union for each boolean and enum. Keep the type for literal unions ("solid" | "outline"), aliases (ReactNode), *Ref and children.
If a cva prop has no @default, read the value from defaultVariants in the cva() call.
If Base UI also declares the prop, use the Apsara JSDoc. If you do not, the table shows both descriptions.
Add the @deprecated text to the description. Only the flag goes to the table.
4. TypeTable (components/typetable/typetable.tsx)
type, typeDescription and default are now highlighted JSX. Render them as nodes. String(type) shows [object Object].
Show type in the row. Show typeDescription in the expanded "Type" field.
Remove the code that adds | undefined. The full type already has it.
To change the Shiki highlight, pass renderType or highlighter to remarkAutoTypeTable.
5. LLM text (lib/remark.ts)
tags is now an array, so entry.tags.defaultValue is always empty. In remarkTypeTableToMd, build the table with typeTableToMarkdown(doc) from fumadocs-typescript.
6. Component types (packages/react)
Write the JSDoc in the component types: one line, plus @default. For cva props, write it on the variant key.
If Apsara changes a Base UI default (Button nativeButton and focusableWhenDisabled), declare the prop again with its own JSDoc.
A union props type shows only the props that are in all branches. Declare the Calendar mode props (selected, onSelect, min, max) in CalendarProps.
Move the pages one at a time. Then change the props.ts rule in AGENTS.md.

Thanks for the detailed plan, Rohan. Agreed on both.
Why the check came first
I weighed generating the tables at the start. The generated tables would have listed every inherited prop, and the descriptions only lived in the docs props.ts files, so no page could switch over until both were solved. I fixed the tables first, since they were already out of date, and added the check to keep them right while they stayed hand-written. I didn't look into upgrading fumadocs, and that was an oversight on my part. With the upgrade, your transform and the JSDoc in the component types, both problems go away, so generating is the right fix. I'll drop the check.
What carries over
The type fixes are what the generated tables will read: Progress value optional with its default, @deprecated on classNames and CodeBlock maxHeight, and the Drawer side JSDoc.
The corrected tables stay live until each page moves, and they're the source text for the component JSDoc.
The check's exceptions are the cases the generator has to handle: docs names with no matching export (the re-exports need one), the Menu context props to mark @internal, Select.Item value (required in the docs, optional in the type), and the 29 parts that reuse another component's props.
Plan
I'll split the rest into a stack:
This PR: remove check-docs-props, its CI job and the per-component changelog.
The apps/www upgrade on its own. It touches Next and fumadocs across the site, so it's easier to review and revert alone.
The generator, transform, TypeTable and LLM text, with Button as the first page. It covers Base UI props, cva defaults and changed Base UI defaults (nativeButton, focusableWhenDisabled).
The remaining pages a few at a time, with the JSDoc in the component types.
The AGENTS.md props.ts rule.
Agreed on the changelog too. Most commits touch several components, so one page reads better. I'll do it in its own PR off main.
