Set the loaded flag for custom event globals - #129

Automated events wait for window[saGlobal + "_loaded"], but the main script only set sa_event_loaded. With a custom namespace or sa-global (for example ba_event), automated events never fired. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com>

src/default.jsaccepts a customdata-sa-global, butsrc/auto-events.jsreads its owndata-saGlobaland defaults tosa_event. If only the main script is configured withba_event, the main script createswindow.ba_eventandwindow.ba_event_loaded, while auto-events checkswindow.sa_eventandwindow.sa_event_loaded. The check fails, so automated-link events are skipped.Make
src/auto-events.jsresolve the same configured global as the main script. Setting only the custom_loadedflag insrc/default.jsdoes not resolve this mismatch.🤖 Prompt for AI Agents

Re CodeRabbit "Synchronize auto-events with the configured event global": I kept this PR to the existing contract. Making |
Summary
Fixes #128
auto-events.jsonly sends an event when bothwindow[saGlobal]andwindow[saGlobal + "_loaded"]exist. The main script names the event function after the namespace (for exampleba_event), but it only ever setsa_event_loadedand<namespace>_loaded. Soba_event_loadedwas never set and automated events never fired. The main script now also sets
window[eventFunctionName + "_loaded"]right after it installs the event function. The existingsa_event_loadedline stays, so default sites behave exactly as before. I fixed the main script rather thanauto-events.js, so the fix also works with cached or self-hosted copies ofauto-events.js.Only
src/changes.dist/is rebuilt separately, as with previous PRs. Light builds are unchanged, andlatest.jsgrows by 18 bytes.Security implications
Testing
pnpm run build, pnpm run typecheck, pnpm run test:deploy(12) andpnpm run test:matrix(11) pass locally. Prettier and ES5 ESLint are clean. BrowserStack tests were not run (no credentials in this environment).latest.js+auto-events.jsin headless Chrome, clicked an outbound link and recorded the requests:data-namespace="ba",sa_settings = {namespace: "ba"}ordata-sa-global="my_event", no event was sent and the console loggedba_event is not defined.outbound_external_example_orgbefore navigating.Checklist
