Summary

  • Adds a Title Bar Color submenu on the terminal context menu and the title-bar settings menu, next to Themes, Font Size, Cursor, and Transparency.
  • Each terminal stores its own color as frame:headercolor. Default clears it. Eight colors are available: Red, Orange, Gold, Green, Teal, Blue, Purple, and Pink.

Test plan

  • Right-click a terminal, or open the gear on the title bar, and confirm Title Bar Color lists Default plus the eight colors, with a check on the current choice.
  • Pick a color and confirm only that terminal's title bar changes, and the choice remains after the menu is reopened.
  • Choose Default and confirm the title bar returns to the normal color.
  • Confirm a second terminal keeps its own color.
  • npx vitest run (14 files, 46 tests passed)

Review in Change Stack →

Walkthrough

The change adds frame:headercolor to the metadata types and key definitions. Terminal settings now include a “Title Bar Color” submenu with a default option and eight named colors. Selecting an option updates the block’s frame:headercolor metadata. The block header reads that metadata and applies an inline background color when a color is set.

Priority: ⬇️ Low

Estimated code review effort: 2 (Simple) | ~10 minutes

Merge Risk: 🔵 Low · up to 024ab

Choosing Red, Orange, Gold, Green, Teal, or Pink makes terminal titles harder to read. Blue and Purple remain workarounds, so the impact is localized, but colored headers should restore full text opacity.

Keep title text fully opaque on colored headers.

When a named title-bar color is selected, .block-frame-text keeps the inherited #f7f7f7 foreground but applies opacity: 0.7. The Red, Orange, Gold, Green, Teal, and Pink choices reduce effective title contrast below 4.5:1. Apply the opacity override only when headerColor is set.
