Add structured_params-openapi gem with OpenAPI drift check - #22
Conversation
The drift check feature (added in 3b1efbd) crashed any Rails boot (rails runner/console) when Thor::Actions partially loaded rake internals without mixing Rake::DSL into main. Loading the rake task now happens through a Rails::Railtie#rake_tasks hook instead of an unconditional require-time load. Also, dogfooding the feature against a real app's OpenAPI document and StructuredParams classes surfaced several rough edges, fixed here: - DriftCheck::Result#to_message is now prefixed with the checked class's name, so Registry.check_all!'s combined DriftError message reads as one block per class instead of an unattributed flat list of paths. - A single-entry `allOf` (the common TypeSpec/OpenAPI idiom for attaching a description/default next to a $ref, since $ref forbids sibling keys) is unwrapped and compared instead of being skipped as unsupported composition. - A schema pointer that can't be resolved (e.g. a resolver-guessed name with no matching component) is now recorded as a skip instead of raising KeyError and aborting every other class's check. - Registry.register accepts a class-name String, resolved lazily in check_all, so registering from a plain Rails initializer no longer needs a to_prepare workaround for Zeitwerk autoloading timing. - Configuration#ignore_drift(path:, kind:) suppresses one specific finding (by path and, optionally, kind) across every check, for cases where the Ruby side is correct but the check's structural heuristics can't see it (e.g. presence enforced only through conditional validators). Ignored findings move to Result#ignored rather than disappearing, so they stay auditable. 🟠 Major · Create the stubbed class before auto-discovery runs. · registry_spec.rb:20-43
spec/open_api/registry_spec.rb:20-43
🎯 Functional Correctness | 🟠 Major | ⚡ Quick winCreate the stubbed class before auto-discovery runs.
parameter_classis a lazylet. No code reads it beforecheck_all(auto_discover: true). The first read happens inside the filter lambda. At that point,ObjectSpace.each_object(Class)is already iterating, andstub_constcreates a new class during the iteration. That new class is not in the enumeration, so the filter never matches. CI on Ruby 3.4 reports 0 results instead of 1. Uselet!so that the class exists before discovery starts.💚 Proposed fix
