feat(oracles): select every oracle replay through shared helpers - #2237
This PR closes the gaps that #2236 left in oracle/no-disabled. Every oracle now selects its replays through the shared helpers in packages/db/tests/oracle-config.ts, so the rule can see each way to stop an oracle test. It follows #2236, which is merged, and is step 3 of #2234.
// An alias: the rule could not see what `propertyTest` switches off.constpropertyTest=replay.replayPath===undefined ? fcTest : fcTest.skip// A guarded registration: the test disappears when the condition is false.if(!replayRequested){it(`checks the fixed history`,check)}// A one-run replay from configuration: in an ordinary run, both values are// undefined, so the property checks one random history.fc.assert(property,{seed: config.seed, path: config.path, numRuns: 1})
Now the rule reports each of them, and the oracles use the shared helpers:
An oracle test may stop running only while a path replay selects another test. Each shared helper is false in an ordinary run, so no replay selection can switch an oracle test off there:
oracleReplayRequested(): a path replay is selected.
oracleReplaySkips(...properties): a path replay of a property outside the list is selected.
oracleReplayTest(registration, ...properties): the registration's skip form while such a replay runs, and the registration itself otherwise.
oracleCalibrationTest(registration, property, fault): the same for a calibration witness. It also stands aside during a replay of its property without its fault, selected by TANSTACK_DB_ORACLE_CALIBRATION.
oraclePropertyOptions(base, property): the run options. A path replay of the property runs once, from its seed and path. A seed without a path reseeds the random campaign.
What the rule reports now
A test modifier used as a value, as in replaying ? it.skip : it. The rule also reports a test function used as a value, as in const t = it, so a later t.skip(...) cannot hide.
A test registered under a condition, or after an early return. The rule accepts a guard only when the test registers while a shared replay helper is false. The accepted forms are !helper(), the else of helper(), and if (helper()) return. Each helper is false in an ordinary run, so such a test runs there. A test that registers only during a replay is reported.
A test registered in a loop or an .each table whose list can be empty under a condition, such as (replaying ? [] : cases).forEach(...).
An early throw fails loudly, and continue filters a loop's data, so neither guards a registration. Calls such as Playwright's test.info() register nothing, so the rule ignores them.
A registration made through oracleReplayTest or oracleCalibrationTest gets the same checks as a direct registration. So does a registration through a constant bound to such a helper's result (const fixedCase = oracleReplayTest(it)), or through a renamed import (import { it as vitestIt }).
.skipIf with any condition other than oracleReplayRequested() or oracleReplaySkips(...).
A one-run path that is not recorded. A recorded path is a literal or a failure's counterexamplePath.
A literal run count above 1 that pins no history. It does not scale with TANSTACK_DB_ORACLE_RUNS_MULTIPLIER, so oracleRuns must wrap it.
A private replay variable: a process.env read whose name ends in _SEED, _PATH, _PROPERTY, or _RUNS, other than the shared TANSTACK_DB_ORACLE_* variables. The replay manifest, the guarded runner, and the retired-variable check see only the shared variables.
The helpers must come from the oracle-config import. A local function with the same name does not pass. packages/db/tests/oracle-config.ts itself may set a path replay from configuration, because it implements replay selection.
readOracleRunConfig rejects the retired replay variables, such as UTILS_ORACLE_SEED. An old replay command fails with an error, and does not run the full campaigns and pass.
Migration
The extended rule found 153 sites in 45 oracle files. Every site now uses the shared helpers. In an ordinary run, each file runs the same tests with the same seeds and run counts. oracleRuns(n) equals n at multiplier 1.
These oracles had their own replay variables. They now use TANSTACK_DB_ORACLE_SEED, TANSTACK_DB_ORACLE_PATH, and TANSTACK_DB_ORACLE_PROPERTY:
utils-oracle and comparison-oracle, as the registered families utils.N and comparison.N in file order. A replay of an unregistered number fails with unknown oracle property.
The IndexedDB cross-tab history oracle (indexeddb.cross-tab-history). packages/db/tests/indexed-db/ORACLE.md shows the new command.
All six offline oracles: KeyScheduler, interruption settlement, fifo retry, leadership replay, serializer, and settlement. The package's OFFLINE_ORACLE_* and TANSTACK_DB_OFFLINE_ORACLE_* variables are retired.
db-ivm index refinement, hash identity, and multiset consolidation.
Proxy revert, proxy native methods, and the proxy callback campaign.
IndexedDB pending history.
The Electric history and pg-serializer oracles, the SQLite core adapter, the Node expression index, and op-sqlite. The coverage map shows the new expression-index command.
Eleven more files. They are the OPFS page-lifecycle (five lanes) and request-order oracles and six db-ivm oracles. They also include the SQLite boolean-arity, BTree map, IndexedDB persistence, and LIKE evaluator oracles. The db-ivm oracles are hash value, hash graph, mixed graph, hash failure retry, incrementalization law, and the top-K support window. The first migration missed these files, because the rule could not see a replay read from a private variable. The new replayVariable report found them.
The registry adds the utils.N and comparison.N families and names for every migrated oracle. The replay manifest names an owner file for every registered property. An owner group can also name the module that spells a property, when a host file runs it. A test fails when a registered property has no owner.
Some files use one helper for several properties. For example, persisted-oracle.test.ts runs a suite during replays of three properties. oracleReplayTest(describe, a, b, c) keeps that behavior in one line, so the file does not re-indent.
Unused replay names removed
The registry had 42 names that no file used, for example load-subset.async-settlement and the 11 load-subset-refinement.* names. A replay request for one passed validation and ran nothing. This PR removes them, so such a request now fails with unknown oracle property. This reverses an earlier choice: a test named "accounts for every registry name without deleting unavailable names" kept them registered.
Other changes
The calibration witnesses in includes-cross-formulation-oracle.property.test.ts register through oracleCalibrationTest. During a replay without their fault, they are skipped. The documented witness still gives its main-property failure at checkpoint 0.
Fixed campaigns that held their run count in a variable now scale with the multiplier: queued presence, binding capacity, and IndexedDB cross-tab history.
The guarded replay protocol's calibration fixture is now replay-guard-calibration.fixture.test.ts. It is a fixture, not an oracle, so the oracle rules do not apply to it.
The PowerSync correctness oracle fails loudly when no SQLite binding loads. Before, it skipped itself silently. CI runs Node 24, which has node:sqlite.
Guarded replay witnesses
The guarded replay runner (oracle-replay.ts) now witnesses synchronous properties. fast-check accepts its async reporter only for an async property. When an attempt records no witness and fails, the runner tries again with TANSTACK_DB_ORACLE_REPLAY_WITNESS_MODE=sync, which uses a synchronous reporter.
fast-check calls a reporter only from fc.assert. Owners that use fc.check call recordOracleReplay(property, details) to record their witness.
The replay manifest gives the Playwright owners the status browser-replay, with their playwright test command. The Vitest runner does not try to run them.
Seed-only replays
The LIKE evaluator oracle draws its cases from its own seeded generator, so it has no shrink path. Its manifest status is the new seed-replay: TANSTACK_DB_ORACLE_SEED reseeds its random campaign, and the manifest command runs the owner directly. The guarded runner witnesses a seed and a path, so it rejects this target, and its error names the command.
Lowered run budgets
scripts/check-oracle-run-counts.mjs compares each changed oracle file with its version at the merge-base, and reports every run budget that went down. The check keys a budget by its registered property, or by its fixed seed. A lowered budget can be deliberate, so the report is a tripwire, not a failure:
CI prints it as a warning in the lint job.
The end-of-turn hooks and pnpm lint:changed return it to the agent.
pnpm lint:run-budgets prints it locally.
Run budgets under the multiplier
The mixed-graph campaign checked that it reached its graph check exactly 150 times. Under TANSTACK_DB_ORACLE_RUNS_MULTIPLIER=2 it ran 300 histories and failed (expected 300 to be 150). It now compares with the campaign's run count, and it passes at multipliers 1 and 2.
Hook output
The changed-files lookup tried both main branches every time. In a clone with origin/main and no local main, git printed fatal: Not a valid object name main into the hook's stderr, which Claude and Codex return to the model. The lookup now stops at the first branch that resolves, and a failed attempt prints nothing.
Replay behavior that changes
A seed without a path now reseeds the random campaigns and keeps the fixed ones in every migrated oracle. Before, some oracles skipped fixed tests then.
Some fixed and unit tests now stand aside during any path replay. Before, they ran during the replays of some properties, for example in the Electric oracle.
Replay-only lanes are gone. A random campaign also serves as the replay lane of its property. In the Electric oracle, the interleaving and queued-presence random campaigns moved into their own suites.
Under a path replay, some selected tests are now named "(random)" instead of "(replay)".
Limits
The rule cannot see a seed from configuration that ordinary runs do not set. It also cannot see a local helper function that registers tests under a condition, or an .each table that a function builds.
A lowered run budget is a warning, not a failure. The check sees only budgets that it can key: a registered property name or a fixed seed.
Dated review records under docs/contributing/oracle-reviews/ keep the old replay commands. They record the commands as they were then.
On a busy machine, the sqlite3 CLI host tests for the SQLite core adapter time out locally. The original file times out in the same way (5 timeouts against 3 for the migrated file). CI runs these tests.
Codex 0.164 runs these hooks in an ordinary clone: an apply_patch and a stop hook each returned the oracle/no-disabled report in an end-to-end codex exec run. In a linked Git worktree, Codex reads project hooks from the main checkout, not from the worktree. The hooks run there only after the main checkout has them. CONTRIBUTING.md records this.
This PR does not test the Copilot hooks in a real Copilot session.
🔬 Oracle Coverage
This PR changes no production code and no oracle law. It changes test registration, replay selection, and run-count plumbing. No model, generator, comparison, or assertion changes. The calibration witness keeps its assertions. It returns early only during a replay of its property without its fault.
Evidence:
In an ordinary run, the migrated files run the same tests as before. Examples: persisted-oracle 959 passed and 1 todo, before and after. The nine db query oracles 1,416 passed, before and after, on the final tree.
A path replay of each migrated property runs that property's campaign. Examples:
utils.34: 1 replay and the unit tests ran. 79 tests stood aside.
persistence.retained-demand: the three-property suite ran, as before.
indexeddb.cross-tab-history: the fresh campaign ran. The fixed campaign stood aside.
This PR ran these checks instead of the full pnpm test:
pnpm test:lint-rules: 114 tests pass.
oracle-replay.test.ts: 40 tests pass, including the synchronous witness and the seed-only replay.
The 11 late-migrated files: each runs the same tests before and after in an ordinary run. A guarded path replay of ivm.hash-graph and opfs.request-order records one execution each. A seed replay of evaluators.like runs both LIKE lanes and skips the other 134 tests.
pnpm lint:oracles reports nothing, and pnpm run lint:check passes.
pnpm run typecheck:tests passes.
packages/db, db-ivm, offline-transactions, powersync-db-collection, electric-db-collection, db-sqlite-persistence-core, node-db-sqlite-persistence, and react-native-db-sqlite-persistence: each migrated oracle file passes in an ordinary run.
🚀 Release Impact
This change affects published code, and I have generated a changeset.
Add an ESLint plugin for oracle files (scripts/eslint-plugin-oracle/) with
the oracle/no-disabled rule. It reports `.only`, a `.skip` or `.todo` that
switches off a body, `.skipIf`/`.runIf` conditions that name no replay,
Playwright's unconditional runtime skips, and generated properties limited
to one unpinned run. The rules have no inline exception.
scripts/agent-lint-feedback.mjs runs the oracle rules in a pass that ignores
inline directives, so an eslint-disable comment cannot silence them. It
serves the Claude Code, Codex, Gemini CLI, and Copilot hooks after each edit
and at the end of a turn, `pnpm lint:changed`, `pnpm lint:oracles` in CI,
and the pre-commit hook. Pre-commit ESLint now runs in chunks to avoid
running out of memory on large commits.
Remove the skipped random campaign for the #2139 known gap; the fixed-seed
`it.fails` cell still pins it, and its replay name is unregistered so a
replay request fails loudly.

Replace the rule's "names a replay" heuristic, which wrong-branch
conditionals, inverted conditions, the node:path module, and environment
seeds all passed. A one-run options object now needs a `path` (a recorded
counterexample) or a seed that is a number literal or a constant bound to
one. `skipIf` accepts only `oracleReplayRequested()` from oracle-config,
and `runIf` is always reported. The rule also reports Playwright `fixme`,
context skips such as `ctx.skip()`, and runtime skips other than
`browserName !== '<browser>'`.
oraclePropertyOptions now returns one run for a path replay, so six
campaign sites drop their own one-run conditional. The OPFS diagnostics
oracle uses the shared replay variables, and the replay calibration
fixture overrides its run count after the replay options are chosen.
The enforcing pass lists tracked oracle files with git, so it skips
untracked worktrees, and it fails when no main branch is available to
compare against. CONTRIBUTING.md states that lint:changed runs only the
oracle rules. Stale prose about the removed replay name is corrected.

The previous commit made oraclePropertyOptions run a path replay once.
utils.test.ts still expected the base run count for the named property.

Address CodeRabbit's review of 012f406:
- oracleReplayRequested() means a path replay. A seed without a path only
reseeds the random campaigns, so fixed tests keep running.
- The OPFS diagnostics oracle takes its replay and random options from
oraclePropertyOptions, so a path replay runs once and a seed-only run
reseeds only the random campaign.
- oracle/no-disabled accepts skipIf(oracleReplayRequested()) only when the
helper is imported from oracle-config, so a local function of that name
does not pass.
- The context-skip check resolves the binding through scope, so a context
captured by a nested callback is reported and a shadowing variable is not.
Refs #2234
Co-authored-by: Isaac <no-reply@databricks.com>
oracle/no-disabled now requires every replay selection to go through the
shared oracle-config helpers, so a selection cannot switch an oracle test off
in an ordinary run:
- A test modifier used as a value (`replaying ? it.skip : it`) is reported.
oracleReplayTest(registration, ...properties) selects a replay instead.
- A test registered under a condition, or after an early return, is reported
unless the condition is oracleReplayRequested() or
oracleReplaySkips(...properties), or a negation of one. An early throw
fails loudly, so it guards nothing. Calls such as Playwright's test.info()
are not registrations.
- skipIf accepts oracleReplaySkips(...properties) as well.
- A one-run path must be recorded: a literal, or a failure's
counterexamplePath. A replay from configuration uses oraclePropertyOptions.
- A literal run count above 1 that pins no history is reported, because it
does not scale with TANSTACK_DB_ORACLE_RUNS_MULTIPLIER.
oracle-config gains oracleReplaySkips and oracleReplayTest, both of which
accept several properties. The registry adds the names that the migrated
oracles select: numbered utils and comparison families, IndexedDB cross-tab
history, OPFS diagnostics, and the package oracles that had their own replay
variables.
Refs #2234

Move each oracle's replay selection onto oracleReplayRequested,
oracleReplaySkips, oracleReplayTest, and oraclePropertyOptions, so the
extended oracle/no-disabled rule passes everywhere. In an ordinary run, every
file runs the same tests with the same seeds and run counts; literal run
counts are wrapped in oracleRuns, which equals the count at multiplier 1.
Replay changes:
- Oracles with their own replay variables now use TANSTACK_DB_ORACLE_SEED,
_PATH, and _PROPERTY: utils (utils.N), comparison (comparison.N), IndexedDB
cross-tab history, db-ivm index refinement, offline KeyScheduler, Electric
history and pg-serializer, SQLite core adapter, Node expression index, and
op-sqlite. ORACLE.md and the coverage map show the new replay commands.
- A seed without a path reseeds random campaigns and keeps fixed ones,
matching the shared semantics.
- Some fixed or unit tests now stand aside during any path replay, where
they used to run during some replays.
- Calibration witnesses register through oracleReplayTest and keep
TANSTACK_DB_ORACLE_CALIBRATION as their fault switch.
Other changes:
- The replay guard's calibration fixture is renamed to
replay-guard-calibration.fixture.test.ts. It is a fixture, not an oracle.
- The includes transition matrix registers over a filtered table, not under
`continue`.
- The PowerSync correctness oracle now fails loudly when no SQLite binding
loads, where it used to skip itself silently.

Full details: Description check
Explanation
The description is thorough and follows the template. It has a Changes section that explains the motivation and the rule gaps it closes, and it names the shared helpers and the law they enforce. It has an Oracle Coverage section with a bug-free, no-production-code rationale and evidence: ordinary-run test counts, path-replay checks for named properties, and a RED/GREEN lint result. The Checklist lists local checks run instead of the full pnpm test, and it leaves the box unchecked. The Release Impact section marks the change as docs/CI/dev-only. The description is mostly complete, but it has three gaps. First, the checklist item is unchecked while the author says other checks ran, so the reviewer must confirm whether pnpm test was run. Second, the description reports pnpm test:lint-rules as 114 passing tests, while the objectives summary reports 92, so the count needs confirmation. Third, the description cites a 'new replayVariable report' and several named checks, which the reviewer cannot verify from the diff summary alone. These points do not block the merge decision. The description passes because it covers all required sections with substantive content.

Address the medium code review and CodeRabbit's review of 95c16bb:
- oracle/no-disabled checks a registration made through oracleReplayTest or
oracleCalibrationTest as a registration of its test, so `.only`, `.skip`,
`.skipIf`, and guards through the helper are reported.
- A guard is accepted only when the test registers while the replay helper
is false: under `!helper()`, in the `else` of `helper()`, or after
`if (helper()) return`. A test that registers only during a replay is
reported, and so is `if (!helper()) return`.
- `continue` and `break` filter a loop's data, so they guard nothing; the two
loop rewrites they forced are reverted.
- The numRuns exemption matches only packages/db/tests/oracle-config.ts.
- Replay-only lanes in the Electric, pg-serializer, SDK delivery, descriptor
isolation, and includes-optimistic oracles become fixed and random
campaigns through the shared helpers.
- oracleCalibrationTest skips a calibration witness during a replay without
its fault, where it used to pass without checking anything.
- readOracleRunConfig rejects retired replay variables, so an old replay
command fails instead of running the full campaigns.
- The interruption-settlement oracle uses the shared replay variables, and
the offline config no longer accepts TANSTACK_DB_OFFLINE_ORACLE_*.
- The replay manifest names owners for the new replay properties, and its
owner check covers the numbered utils and comparison families.
- Fixed-campaign run counts scale with the multiplier in the queued-presence,
binding-capacity, and IndexedDB cross-tab campaigns.
- Comments and the coverage map describe the shared replay variables.

…hared variables
Replay manifest:
- Every registered property now names an owner file. A manifest entry may
name the module that spells a property separately from the host file that
runs it, which gives the SQLite core-adapter contract and the
ordinary-transaction module honest owners. The owner check accepts any
string quotes.
- A new test fails when a registered property has no owner.
- The 42 registered names that no file used are removed, so a replay request
for one fails with `unknown oracle property` instead of running nothing.
This reverses the earlier choice to keep unavailable names registered.
Rule:
- oracle/no-disabled resolves a run count held in a constant bound to a
number, as it already did for seeds. The shared-driver fairness and proxy
native-method fixed campaigns now scale with the run multiplier.
Shared replay variables:
- The offline fifo-retry, leadership, serializer, and settlement oracles,
proxy revert and native methods, db-ivm hash identity and multiset
consolidation, IndexedDB pending history, and the proxy callback campaign
move to TANSTACK_DB_ORACLE_SEED/PATH/PROPERTY, with registered names and
manifest owners. Their old variables are retired and fail loudly.
- The retired-variable error also names TANSTACK_DB_ORACLE_RUNS_MULTIPLIER.
- The replay witness documents that the guarded runner witnesses async
properties. A synchronous owner fails loudly under it; replay such an
owner directly.

The random lane scaled its reserved fixed examples by the run multiplier,
so the two lanes ran different budgets above multiplier 1. Both lanes now
run the scaled base plus the reserved examples, and a path replay keeps its
single run.

retryDecisionExamples is nonempty, and the replay lane uses { numRuns: 1, seed, path }. fast-check 3.23.2 places examples before generated values, so a recorded path beginning with 0 selects the first fixed example instead of the recorded generated value. This makes the replay validate the wrong case.
Use the same guard for the other unconditional examples registrations in the settlement and leadership oracle files.
Apply the same conditional to the registrations at settlement lines 590, 2755, and 2867, and leadership lines 1681, 1850, and 2138. Ordinary and seed-only runs retain their fixed examples.

oracle/no-disabled now also reports:
- A test function passed around as a value (`const t = it`, `[it, test]`,
a function argument) unless it goes to oracleReplayTest or
oracleCalibrationTest. A local variable with the same name is not one.
- A loop or `.each()` table whose items depend on a condition: a ternary
with an empty-array branch, `cond && cases`, a constant bound to either,
or a `.filter` callback that reads process.env. The condition must be a
shared replay helper under which the items still register in ordinary
runs.
The OPFS worker diagnostics oracle registers its fixed and random lanes
through oracleReplayTest, not a conditional table.
The offline lane options note why a path replay keeps fixed examples:
fast-check counts them in the recorded path.

…aywright replay interface
Guarded replay:
- A synchronous property rejects fast-check's async reporter before it runs.
The guarded runner now retries once in a synchronous witness mode when an
attempt records no witness and fails, so synchronous owners can be
witnessed. Async owners keep the async reporter and its native formatting.
- recordOracleReplay records a witness for an owner that runs its property
with fc.check, which never calls a reporter. comparison-oracle and the
SQLite core-adapter binding campaign use it.
- The calibration fixture has a synchronous variant, and the guard suite
checks that it is witnessed in the synchronous mode.
Playwright:
- The IndexedDB cross-tab browser spec selects replays through
oracleReplayTest and oraclePropertyOptions, with the registered property
indexeddb.browser-native-history. TANSTACK_INDEXEDDB_BROWSER_* is retired.
- The manifest gives Playwright owners the browser-replay status and a
Playwright command. The guarded Vitest runner rejects them instead of
claiming evidence it cannot collect.

A generated property checks more histories with a larger budget, and a
lowered budget is still a valid count, so no lint rule can see one.
scripts/check-oracle-run-counts.mjs compares each changed oracle file with
its merge-base version. It reports every run budget that went down, keyed
by registered property or by fixed seed. A lowered budget can be
deliberate, so the report is a tripwire: CI prints it as a warning, and the
end-of-turn hook and `pnpm lint:changed` return it to the agent.

The changed-files lookup tried every main branch eagerly, and git printed
"fatal: Not a valid object name main" to the inherited stderr whenever a
clone had origin/main but no local main. Claude and Codex return a hook's
stderr to the model, so the line reached the agent as part of the report.
Share the run-budget script's short-circuiting mergeBase, and pipe git's
stderr so a failed attempt prints nothing.

The migration to the shared replay helpers followed the rule's reports, and
the rule could not see a seed, path, or run count read from a private
variable. Eleven oracles still selected their replays that way, so the
replay manifest, the guarded runner, and the retired-variable check could
not see them.
oracle/no-disabled now reports a process.env read, dotted, computed, or
destructured, whose name ends in _SEED, _PATH, _PROPERTY, or _RUNS, other
than the shared TANSTACK_DB_ORACLE_* variables. oracle-config.ts, which
implements replay selection, may read any of them.

…pers
Eleven oracles read their own replay variables: the OPFS page-lifecycle and
request-order oracles, five db-ivm oracles, the SQLite boolean-arity oracle,
the BTree map and IndexedDB persistence oracles, and the LIKE evaluator
oracle. Each property is now registered and has a manifest owner, and its
old variables are retired, so an old replay command fails loudly. Ordinary
runs keep the same tests, fixed seeds, and run counts.
The LIKE oracle draws cases from its own seeded generator and has no shrink
path. Its manifest status is the new seed-replay: TANSTACK_DB_ORACLE_SEED
reseeds its random campaign directly, and the guarded runner, which
witnesses a seed and path, names that command when it rejects the target.
The mixed-graph campaign checked that it reached the graph check exactly
150 times, so it failed under TANSTACK_DB_ORACLE_RUNS_MULTIPLIER=2. It now
compares with the campaign's run count.
Co-authored-by: Isaac <no-reply@databricks.com>
The migration bound many registrations to constants, such as
`const fixedCase = oracleReplayTest(it)`, and some files import a test
function under another name, such as `import { it as vitestIt }`. The rule
recognized a test only by its name, so `fixedCase.skip(...)`,
`fixedCase.only(...)`, and a guarded `fixedCase(...)` passed, and so did
`vitestIt.skip(...)`.
The rule now resolves the root of a registration through renamed imports
and through constants bound to a test function by a selection helper or a
member chain. No current oracle file had such a disabled test.
Co-authored-by: Isaac <no-reply@databricks.com>
Resolve the import conflict in ir-stable-identity-oracle.test.ts by keeping
both imports.
Bring main's new oracle files onto the shared replay helpers that this
branch requires:
- persisted-options-type-oracle.ts registers its fixed campaign with
oracleReplayTest(it) and its random campaign with
oracleReplayTest(it, property), instead of reading the run config and
registering a placeholder. A replay runs the random campaign alone.
- The React and Svelte SSR runtime-error oracles do the same in place of
it.skipIf and plain it held in a variable.
- The replay manifest drops two owners that both sides added, and names
owners for main's four persisted-options properties. Their names are now
written out in the oracle so the manifest can find them.

Brings in #2237 (shared oracle replay helpers). The pooled live query
oracle's reach tracking now covers both generated tests, with the random
test selected through oracleReplayTest; the reach check runs only in
ordinary runs.

…model types
Main's replay manifest (#2237) requires every registered property to name
its owner file; persisted-demand-coverage.history now names the campaign.
The receiving contract re-exports the model types its framework drivers
record with, so their type checks pass.

🎯 Changes
This PR closes the gaps that #2236 left in
oracle/no-disabled. Every oracle now selects its replays through the shared helpers inpackages/db/tests/oracle-config.ts, so the rule can see each way to stop an oracle test. It follows #2236, which is merged, and is step 3 of #2234.In #2236, the rule could not see these forms:
Now the rule reports each of them, and the oracles use the shared helpers:
The law
An oracle test may stop running only while a path replay selects another test. Each shared helper is false in an ordinary run, so no replay selection can switch an oracle test off there:
oracleReplayRequested(): a path replay is selected.oracleReplaySkips(...properties): a path replay of a property outside the list is selected.oracleReplayTest(registration, ...properties): the registration'sskipform while such a replay runs, and the registration itself otherwise.oracleCalibrationTest(registration, property, fault): the same for a calibration witness. It also stands aside during a replay of its property without its fault, selected byTANSTACK_DB_ORACLE_CALIBRATION.oraclePropertyOptions(base, property): the run options. A path replay of the property runs once, from its seed and path. A seed without a path reseeds the random campaign. What the rule reports now
replaying ? it.skip : it. The rule also reports a test function used as a value, as inconst t = it, so a latert.skip(...)cannot hide.return. The rule accepts a guard only when the test registers while a shared replay helper is false. The accepted forms are!helper(), theelseofhelper(), andif (helper()) return. Each helper is false in an ordinary run, so such a test runs there. A test that registers only during a replay is reported..eachtable whose list can be empty under a condition, such as(replaying ? [] : cases).forEach(...).throwfails loudly, andcontinuefilters a loop's data, so neither guards a registration. Calls such as Playwright'stest.info()register nothing, so the rule ignores them.oracleReplayTestororacleCalibrationTestgets the same checks as a direct registration. So does a registration through a constant bound to such a helper's result (const fixedCase = oracleReplayTest(it)), or through a renamed import (import { it as vitestIt })..skipIfwith any condition other thanoracleReplayRequested()ororacleReplaySkips(...).paththat is not recorded. The replay manifest, the guarded runner, and the retired-variable check see only the shared variables. The helpers must come from the

A local function with the same name does not pass.packages/db/tests/oracle-config.tsitself may set a path replay from configuration, because it implements replay selection.readOracleRunConfigrejects the retired replay variables, such asUTILS_ORACLE_SEED. An old replay command fails with an error, and does not run the full campaigns and pass.Migration
The extended rule found 153 sites in 45 oracle files. Every site now uses the shared helpers. In an ordinary run, each file runs the same tests with the same seeds and run counts.

An owner group can also name the module that spells a property, when a host file runs it. A test fails when a registered property has no owner. Some files use one helper for several properties. For example,
persisted-oracle.test.tsruns a suite during replays of three properties.oracleReplayTest(describe, a, b, c)keeps that behavior in one line, so the file does not re-indent.Unused replay names removed
The registry had 42 names that no file used, for example
load-subset.async-settlementand the 11load-subset-refinement.*names. A replay request for one passed validation and ran nothing. This PR removes them, so such a request now fails withunknown oracle property. This reverses an earlier choice: a test named "accounts for every registry name without deleting unavailable names" kept them registered.Other changes

scripts/check-oracle-run-counts.mjscompares each changed oracle file with its version at the merge-base, and reports every run budget that went down. The mixed-graph campaign checked that it reached its graph check exactly 150 times. Under
TANSTACK_DB_ORACLE_RUNS_MULTIPLIER=2it ran 300 histories and failed (expected 300 to be 150). It now compares with the campaign's run count, and it passes at multipliers 1 and 2.Hook output
The changed-files lookup tried both main branches every time. In a clone with
origin/mainand no localmain, git printedfatal: Not a valid object name maininto the hook's stderr, which Claude and Codex return to the model. The lookup now stops at the first branch that resolves, and a failed attempt prints nothing.Replay behavior that changes
